This is a collection of musical sketches and notes that Simon Lovermann has compiled over the past 3.5 years.
"Under Canvas" utilizes framedrums and a large sample library of field recordings and sounds of furniture and objects. These sounds were originally created for the scores of dance theaters and form the foundation of the beats. Some tracks consist of only two layers, while others are more complex. Recording sessions varied from 20 minutes to several hours. All beats were played live and completed in a single session, using only first takes and rough edits.
