Over the past two decades, Berlin-based producer Hulk Hodn has quietly cemented himself as a cornerstone of the European beatmaking community. Much of that foundation was built alongside Cologne wordsmith Retrogott. Across a staggering run of a dozen collaborative albums, the duo became the gold standard for independent, sample-heavy hip-hop and German rap. Hodn’s dusty soundscapes and unquantized, head-nodding grooves have always spoken for themselves, a testament to physical music culture, no fleeting digital hype. Now, Sichtexot Records is proud to announce his latest full-length album, a project that honors those deep boom-bap roots while pushing his sound into expansive new territories. 

Stepping away from the traditional, isolated beatmaker paradigm, the new LP is the culmination of Zahlbach Publishing songwriting camps held in Limoux, France, throughout 2023 and 2024. Hulk Hodn has crafted what is arguably his most versatile and creative project to date. The record moves between raw, foundational hip-hop, warm neo-soul, wonky instrumental beats, and progressive rap. 

To bring this vision to life, Hodn assembled a striking cast of collaborators. The vocal roster spans the globe, featuring Paris’ own Ichon, New York based rap visionary ovrkast., UK vocalists Raelle and Lex Amour, and Madrid lofi-rap standout Cráneo. He is equally matched on the production and instrumentation side, trading ideas with a heavyweight lineup of peers including FloFilz, Wun Two, Gabiga, Matt Wilde, Greedo, Teo and halfpastseven. 

The new album will be released on September 4th, 2026, via Sichtexot Records. It will be available across all digital platforms and as a limited-edition vinyl pressing.
