A Transatlantic Collaboration of Raw Storytelling and Timeless Boombap Vibes
When Long Island, New York’s finest lyricist SmooVth joins forces with Germany’s lofi boombap beat legend Wun Two, the result is nothing short of magic. Prussian Blue is the perfect blend of raw but laid-back jazz-infused production and introspective, cinematic storytelling — an album that feels both nostalgic and timeless.
Across 12 tracks (plus a vinyl-exclusive bonus cut), SmooVth paints vivid pictures of life in Long Island, New York, touching on family, the streets, and personal growth. Wun Two’s signature raw and laid-back production serves as the perfect canvas for SmooVth’s flow and lyrics, making the project a fusion of classic New York lyricism and chilled boombap, jazz-infused beats.
Prussian Blue will be released as a limited-edition vinyl, strictly capped at 99 copies. The digital release also includes a full instrumental version of the album.
Hailing from Hempstead, NY, SmooVth has built a reputation as one of the most consistent and underrated MCs in the game. Influenced by the greats like DJ Premier, RZA, and Pete Rock, his music embodies the essence of raw New York hip-hop. Over the years, he has carved his lane with vivid storytelling, sharp lyricism, and an unmistakable smoothness in his flow. His work has been recognized on platforms such as NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Sirius XM, and Complex. His most recent album, Project Near You (2024), was produced by none other than Onyx legend Fredro Starr.
From Donaueschingen, Germany, Wun Two is more than just a producer—he’s a pioneer of the Lo-Fi movement. For over a decade, his dusty, mellow jazz-infused beats have defined the genre, influencing countless artists worldwide. Alongside fellow German producer Made In M, he helped shape the sound of Lo-Fi hip-hop long before it became a global phenomenon. Beyond his solo instrumental projects, Wun Two has worked with some of the best in underground hip-hop, including Conway The Machine (Palermo LP), Da Flyy Hooligan (Nocturnal Hooli EP), and Ben Beal (gazebo LP).
This is hip-hop in its most refined and soulful form — raw and authentic, New York rap shit.
